Good to know

How to make an appointment for a consultation and how long is the waiting period for a procedure?

Registration for the consultations is by email at office@noaclinic.pl and the telephone number 71 772 42 70, registration and telephone information is open Monday to Friday 10:00 - 18:00. The average waiting time for a procedure is a few weeks, depending on the length of the planned surgery.

I take medication. Should I discontinue taking it before surgery?

Two weeks before surgery you should not take aspirin or other drugs containing acetylsalicylic acid and its derivatives (e.g., Pyralgina, Ketonal, Ibufen, Ibuprofen, Majamil, etc.), you can only take Paracetamol. In order to reduce bruising we recommend that you take Rutinoscorbin for 3 weeks prior to surgery (2 tablets 3 times a day). In the case of chronic diseases (e.g., diabetes, hyperthyroidism or hypothyroidism) you should continue to take the medication. If you suffer from any chronic disease or have been ill three months prior to surgery, you should inform the surgeon.

When and how do I pay for surgery?

Payment for the procedure should be made before surgery. You can pay by cash, credit card or money order (in this case, please provide confirmation of the transfer).

What tests are required and when should I provide the results?

One - two weeks before surgery, you should perform the following blood tests: CBC, INR (bleeding time) and APTT (clotting time). People over 45 years of age are asked for an ECG with a description. Results should be sent by e-mail. If you do not have the capacity to perform tests on your own, we can perform them for a fee at the clinic on the day of surgery.

What is the procedure on the day of surgery?

On the day of surgery you should come to the clinic on an empty stomach between 8 and 9 am. During this time, consultation takes place, then the patient signs a consent to treatment, completes an anaesthesia survey (in the case of procedures performed under local anaesthesia the survey is not needed) and makes the payment. Next, we take the blood for tests (if the patient has not delivered results), followed by a brief conversation with the psychologist.

Then we take the patient into the room (one or two-person), where you can prepare for the surgery, a towel and disposable shirt for the duration of the treatment are prepared for each patient. Please take a shower, remove makeup and nail polish and remove contact lenses. When the patient is ready, the surgeon plans the treatment, taking pictures and marking incision lines on the patient's skin. If the procedure is done under local anaesthesia, a nurse gives a patient medication in preparation for surgery.

In the case of treatment under general anaesthesia medical history with your anaesthetist follows. Afterwards, the surgery begins. After surgery, the patient is transported to their room, where they are under observation until the next morning (in the case of treatment under local anaesthesia you can go home /to a hotel after about an hour). After a morning check-up you can leave the clinic, unless your doctor tells you otherwise.

When can I sunbathe and do sports after surgery?

Do not expose the scars to the sun for at least 6 months to avoid permanent discoloration. Avoid physical activity for at least a month after surgery (not applicable to minor procedures such as eyelid, ear correction, removal of birthmarks), return to full activity is usually not longer than 2-3 months.

Is it possible to visit the patients after the surgery?

Yes, but please stay in the patient's room as briefly as possible so as not to disturb the rest after surgery. Visiting hours end at 20:00.

Does the clinic have the Internet access?

Yes, noa clinic has Wi-Fi, password available at the reception desk.

How to prepare for surgery:
